Creating and Configuring Tracking Reports
Set up automated reports for electricity, gas, water, compressed air and OEE to monitor machine performance and identify waste.
What are tracking reports
Tracking Reports are automated, configurable data summaries sent directly to your inbox. They pull data from your Electricity, Gas, Compressed Air, Water, and OEE sensors to show exactly how your facility is performing over a weekly or monthly period.
Why use tracking reports
Most insights that are available in the Sensorfact platform are also available in the reports. Reports can be used for many different purposes, for example:
- Track savings: Monitor the progress of energy-saving measures
- Boost awareness: Share performance data with personnel to improve shift efficiency
- Stop energy waste: Identify machines running in standby or outside production hours
- Simplify reporting: Generate ready-to-use tables and charts for internal and external audience
How tracking report work
You select the Analysis Modules and Units relevant to your modules. Once saved, the system automatically generates and emails the report to your team at the end of every scheduled period.
Time Aggregation
The platform groups measurement data into snapshots based on your report frequency:
-
Monthly Reports: Data aggregated by week and month.
-
Weekly Reports: Data aggregated by day and week.
Visualization & Units
Depending on your module and asset count, you can view data as Bar Charts, Tables, or Tables with Examples. Each analysis module offers specific unit options that are relevant to the type of analysis being performed. When configuring your report, you'll be able to select from the applicable units for your chosen module.
Available Analysis Modules
| Electricity | |
| Module | Description and unit options |
| Energy consumption | Visualizes electricity consumption in power, energy, cost, carbon emissions or time. Units: kW, kWh, costs, time, CO₂e |
| Energy consumption per shift | Visualizes electricity consumption broken down by shift. Shifts are set up by your consultant during the energy scan. Units: kW, kWh, costs, time, CO₂e, % of consumption |
| Energy consumption outside operating hours |
Visualizes electricity consumption outside of the operating hours. This is based on the production schedules as configured in the Production Schedules. Units: kW, kWh, cost, time, CO₂e, % of consumption |
| Standby energy consumption | Visualizes standby electricity consumption in power, energy, cost, carbon emissions or time. Our algorithms automatically detect when a machine is in standby mode. Units: kW, kWh, costs, time, CO₂e, % of consumption |
| Protocol deviation | Visualizes electricity consumption when protocols are violated. The protocols are set up by your consultant during the energy scan. Units: kW, kWh, costs, time, CO₂e, % of consumption |
| Peak power | Visualizes the highest power peak in a certain time period. Units: kW |
| Electricity consumption per production hour |
Tracks machine energy efficiency by calculating the average energy consumption per production hour. It sums the total energy consumed, including standby energy, over a specified period and divides it by the total hours spent in production mode. Units: kWh by production hour, costs by production hour, CO₂e by production hour |
| Electricity consumption per status | Visualizes electricity consumption when machines are On, specifically in Production or Standby mode. Units: kW, kWh, cost, CO₂e |
| Natural gas | |
| Module | Description and unit options |
| Energy consumption | Visualizes gas consumption in power, energy, cost, carbon emissions or time Units: kWh, cost, m³, CO₂e |
| Energy consumption per shift | Visualizes gas consumption broken down by shift. Shifts are set up by your consultant during the energy scan. Units: kWh, cost, m³, CO₂e, % of consumption |
| Energy consumption outside operating hours | Visualizes gas consumption outside of the operating hours. This is based on the production schedules as configured in the Production Schedules. Units: kWh, cost, m³, CO₂e, % of consumption |
| Compressed Air | |
| Module |
Description and unit options |
| Compressed Air Usage |
Visualizes air consumption in air volume |
| Outside operating hours |
Visualizes air consumption outside of the operating hours. There are based on the production schedules as configured in the Settings |
| Energy efficiency compressor(s) |
Visualizes the energy needed to produce 1 m³ or air |
| Water | |
| Module | Description and unit options |
| Water consumption | Visualizes water consumption in water volume, cost or time Units: m³, costs |
| OEE | |
| Module | Description and unit options |
| Production volume | Visualizes production output in total, accepted or rejected production volume. Unit: Total units, rejected units, accepted units |
| OEE metrics | Visualizes OEE scores, the scores are also separated out to availability, performance and quality. Units: OEE metrics |
