A bridge has three antennas, a power cable, and a 5V adapter. The bridge receives the data from the sensors through a wireless EnOcean connection. The bridge (temporarily) stores this data and uploads it to our cloud platform via a network connection. The bridge also has an LED light that indicates the connection status. A bridge needs to be powered with a 230V cable (using a socket), and its reach depends on the space it's installed in. As a general guideline, keep it within a 10-meter radius with no obstacles in the way — think walls, big machines, metal fencing, or cabinets — or plan for one bridge per 5 sensors. This is how the bridge can reliably pick up the sensors' signal, since every space is a little different.  The bridge can connect, and send its data through three different types of connectivity:  1. Wifi; Sensorfact configures the bridge before sending the hardware. It is important with this connection that the bridges get authorization to send the data over their network. This connectivity option is free. 2. Ethernet; The ethernet connection works by plugging in an ethernet cable in the bridge. It is important with this connection that the bridges get authorization to send the data over their network. This connectivity option is free. 3. Mobile network; in every bridge is a sim card. We can activate this sim-card (also remotely) to connect over the local 4G network. Sensorfact has to add costs onto the invoice because we have to pay for the mobile network per sim card (10 euros per bridge, per month).
