Annotations on Power graph
What are annotations?
You can add annotations to the Power graph to mark important events in time. Annotations allow you to add context directly to your power data, making it easier to understand what happened, when it happened, and why. This is useful for explaining sudden changes (peaks, drops) in power consumption, tracking the impact of energy savings over time, supporting discussions and handover between operators, energy managers and other stakeholders, and improving data interpretation without relying on external notes.
Each annotation can be categorised in one of the below categories (tags):
- Energy saving: Mark when an energy-saving measure was implemented to track its impact
- Maintenance: Log maintenance activities
- Operational change: Capture changes in operations or processes
- Peak: Highlight power peaks
- Stop: Indicate when a machine was stopped

How to create an annotation
Annotations appear as marked points on the power graph. Hover over a marker to view the annotation details.
To create a new annotation:
- Click on ‘Create annotation’
- A side panel opens. Fill in the following fields:
- Title
- Description
- Time; either edit the time field directly or select the moment on the graph
- Tag; choose the appropriate annotation category
- Click on ‘Create’ to save the annotation
Once created, the annotation will be visible as a marker on the graph at the selected time.
